Cord Pride

You need cords? We've got cords.
Our cords created a lot of problems for us.
We used to bicker over cords. Dx would accuse me of hiding cords,
I'd try to throw them out, Dx would buy more and then lose them again.
I was bound by cords.

Then, I conquered our cords. I encourage you to try this in your home.

It may be ugly, but it feels so good when I always know where to find my ipod cord, camera cord, phone cord, or whichever cord Dx is missing.

.

Got a lot of comments on the Daddy Dx and Ice Cream picture.
Thought you'd appreciate the whole visual story.

I'm so glad this post isn't about Mim's umbilical cord. I was worried.

Excellent solution and I lurved the story collage. Babies are so bossy.

I have a kids-school-paper problem. Can you come organize that?

I love the cord solution. We have a basket where we try to stuff all of our cords, and we have to rummage through it to find the exact cord we're looking for. Annoying!

Hi Lenore! Found your blog. Your daughter is so adorable!

This cord thing is a great idea, thanks! I am one of those organizationally challenged people.

Your cord idea is genius. Makes me think I must post about my bows. Hmmm, looks to me like Mimi is eating dairy. Although is soft serve even real ice cream?

I throw the extra cords out all the time. Boy do I get into trouble with DH. Especially when it's an important cord like the cord to upload pics onto the computer or his work cell phone charger or cord/cable to connect the printer.

Brilliant! Though, I prefer the "ignorance is bliss" route. I don't learn how to do any of that techie stuff so my hubby has to fight the cords and all other annoyances that follow.

I may share this post with him though. We have a cord drawer. Yikes!

We have a cord problem at our house too. Your idea is a good one... except that I don't think I have a free door and I don't think I have as many cords as you do. You must have more cool gadgets. Good idea.

What people don't understand is that appliance gets thrown away, but the cord lasts forever, esp. in your cool spot. "We threw that video camera away four years ago, but I have the cord!"

I realize I just commented twice. Apparently commenting on 75 blogs once isn't enough.

Oh you are a genius! I have a drawer full of miscellaneous cords and another with identified cords but the over the door clear shoe hanger is the best idea I have seen in a long time and easily inspiration for a new book. Glad that you are back among the bloggers!
