Had a rough day at the office with the minions. Summer is getting hard. I shall counter hard day with things that make me feel proud and happy!
My six-year-old can plan and execute a meal. Her specialty is Teriyaki salmon with Edamame, rice and miso soup. All I have to do is turn on the oven and take out the salmon. Notice how she also sets her place like a princess’ setting.
My kids and I have started a Masterpiece series. I show them a famous work of art and they copy it to the best of their abilities.
I have a giant laundry room. Hooray!
Look at Mimi and Jude’s new school! It’s so fancy shmancy!
My kids cuddle each other. I am aware this is miraculous.
My minions can identify Buddha in any of his incarnations.
My intended buys me shave ice on his way to my house AND takes pictures when the shave ice looks like unicorns colors.
My daughter can now document our bizarre clothing adventures without wiggling the camera.
Last week I got to listen to a whole talk in church without anybody touching me.
Mimi can climb a 5.9 and Jude a 5.7. That’s impressive, for those of you who don’t know the ratings.
I was able to laugh when Silas cut his own hair and painted his face like a clown while I was sleeping.

Wow - Mimi already cooks! I can't get her equal in my house to be even remotely interested in the kitchen - the other day I told her to come and watch me. "Why?" "Because some day you're going to have to cook for yourself." Utter shock!
Awesome about the church talk too, and all the rest. Counting blessings is fun. There is always good and bad together in each and every situation- opposition is an unalterable fact of life. The trick is to recognize that and focus on the good so you don't go insane!
