D H

People keep referring to their "DH" on blogs and comments. I don't get it. What do these letters stand for?

1) Dumb House Elf?
2) Dorky Helpmate?
3) Disheveled Horndog?
4) Daring Hula Hooper?
5) Dashing HeMan?
6) Delicious Hot Chocolate?
7) Disgusting Hampster?
8) Dreary Herbivore?
9) Diabetic Halfwit?
10) Doofus Hermaphrodite?

Elucidate me. Who IS one's DH?
All you bloggers and your lingo.

Officially it means "Dear Husband." But mine is called Dumb Shi* secretly in my head. He can't help it. It's the y chromosome that makes them sooo helpful.

Yeah I get that all the time since everything is all about me me me, it actually stands for "Danielson Hazen". I can't quite decide which one I like best. BFD

Designated Hitter! I know what it really means but, I haven't heard that word since college, can't repeat it!

Dry Humper. Weird.

And yes, I've seen Arrested Development. Why is that?

it means dear husband but I think it's lame and I've never used it. Who makes these things up anyway?

I've heard it can mean either Dear Husband or Dratted Husband. Depends on what mood you're in at the time. :)

I am at a lost. I must not read enough blogs to notice DH.

Please, please let it be #10. Speaking of which, I just finished "Middlesex" not G-rated for Jessica, but good nevertheless.

Thanks for your comment and words.
I know what it is intended to mean but I don't like to use it.
Maybe my discomfort in using initials and acronyms comes from serving a mission where I was told repeatedly that using initials is so BAD, well at least when speaking about certain stuff.

I like #10 the best, but it does mean Dear Husband... just like DS means Dear Sister and DMIL Dear mother-in-law. Sort of lame...
About the blog business. I am very stupid and don't follow directions very well, but I did figure out my blog background so if I can do it you can do it too. But I think yours is fabulous as is. My e-mail is hollye@comcast.net I'll send you the instructions with a reply to your e-mail.

I am confused. Tell me what it really means! Is it something dirty? Dirty husband?

DH-- I guess I would go with Heidi's answer, maybe baseball on the brain. My question is why don't they have a DW?
