Model Behavior

My fabulous friend Niya has recently returned to her former career of fashion model. Last week I went to her very chichi fashion show "Fresh Faces" for GenArt. I don't know what GenArt is, but let me tell you the whole thing was just like they do it on TV.

There was a big runway and seats lining both sides. The models paraded down the runway as though something important was happening at the other end. Once they got there, they posed and were photographed. Then they sauntered backstage, ignoring the girl passing next to them.

Here are some highlights:

There was a big bottom girl. Her thighs touched, gasp!!

No bras, lots of boobies.

All the girls were tall and thin, but not all were as beautiful as Niya.

Everyone in the audience was snotty and dressed to the nines. I sat alone, Dx watched Mimi at home. I wore an H&M black satin dress and my leather jacket.

It lasted about 30 minutes, 5 designers or so. I liked Podoll and Sara Shepherd best.

Niya did the model walk stomp. She was good at it.

Tell me, does being friends with a model almost satisfy your childhood yearning to be a model? Do you still wish you were two inches taller? Thank you for having an interesting activity for the rest of us.

I agree with Celia, I am living through you right now! I would hate to have a Model as a friend, because I would always be tempted to eat the left-overs on their plate!

I love the fashion model stomp-walk thing! I don't know where it came from or who decided it was sexy and fashionable, but I have always been secretly fascinated by it. Do you think we could get Niya on the next season of Project Runway? Then we could go to New York for fashion week and watch all the girls kick around like horses! How cool would THAT be?!?!

p.s...Niya is beautiful. Do you think having gorgeous friends makes you look prettier or uglier by association?

Oh good...I'm so glad to hear one had a big booty...I'm headed to New York on the next plane. I've always wanted my size 10 butt to come into style in the high fashion world and here's my chance.

Hahah, I actually HAVE Simpsonized myself. I did it a few weeks ago when it was all the rage. Hey, do you know my brother Kendall (Erickson)? I'm pretty sure you were friends with him back in the day, just like I was with Val back in the day. I remember hearing your name a few times. Does Val blog?
