Came back from the dentist yesterday to a sick little baby. She was having an allergic reaction, I think to Camille.
Mimi looked almost as bad as this:
Sad little swollen ear.
Thankfully, Ellie was there to give her the proper dosing of benedryl and tylenol. I was panicking. Mimi had a temperature of 99.5.
Here are her swollen little legs, hard to tell because they're so fat anyway. She was covered in hives.

I called the doctor, just to tell them what was going on, they told me to get in my car right now and go to the hospital -- El says that they're required by law to tell me that.
But we went anyway because we have great health care, better safe than sorry and it only cost $5. Plus, her swelling had not gone down sufficiently with the benedryl.
Here's my good little patient. No crying! Notice the wrist band.

The doctor dosed her with medicine, some steroid and allergy meds.
Dx is a good daddy, he rushed right over to the hospital.
She woke up a happy baby!
Actually, the allergy might have been to apple juice or formula.

Thank you for putting the happy picture of Mimi at the end. Welcome to real motherhood. Being sad with your child. I'm glad she's okay. Maybe you should stop eating chocolate and peanut butter. And dairy. Good luck with that.
You should also stop eating anything with soy in it, which means anything that comes in a package. And skip the shellfish. Only meat, fruit and veggies for you. She is so so cute.
Have we decided that it's something I ate? I don't think so.
If you love your baby and want to protect her, you will need to modify your diet. I'm sure there are plenty of parenting books about it. Like "Life Sucks and Then You Die, Never Eat Anything Good Again."
Hi, I did not have dairy for a very long time and it made me sad, but it meant Callie didn't projectile vomit and poop 100 times a day...it was a toss up which was worse. I don't think it's dairy...I think something bit her, Callie had a reaction like that from a spider bite...but we live in Cambodia and spiders are bad there. I love having Ellie around, my kids are allowed to eat anything when she is there because she can save them.
I need more money for my services.
Welcome to my blog, Andrea. Thank you for your comment. Maybe it WAS a spider. Diary does give Mimi wicked gas. I just give her a cowlick of gas-X
